Join Jenava Harris as she guides you through techniques to use and teach your students about theatrical makeup. The workshop includes demonstrations and lesson plan implementation.
"Sound for the Theatre"
When: June 6 9:00am-4:00pm

Presenter: Daniel Stahl
Goal: Gain hands on experience with a digital soundboard. Familiarize users with every facet of sound (board, speakers, patching, XLR, wireless frequencies, and basic programming). Users will also gain hands on EQ practice and how to balance sound.
"Close and Charged Scenes"

Join Sarah Haman for a workshop about the need for consent-based approaches to "close" or "charged" scenes. This workshop will include suggestions for/samples of pre-audition paperwork, advice on de-loading language, boundaries, blocking notation, and conversations around the changing perspective of what "easy to work with" means in our industry. Time permitting, directors may try their hand at blocking a close/charged scene. Practice and how to balance sound.

They will then demonstrate and discuss proper judging techniques and etiquette. This workshop will align with the Arkansas Thespian Festival objectives and prepare you and your students for success at festival.
